Our commitment: gambling is entertainment, not a way to make money

We want your time with us to stay a form of entertainment that you choose, enjoy and can comfortably afford. Gambling is not a way to earn an income, to cover bills or to win back money you have already lost. Over time, the games on our site return less than is staked on them, so you should expect to spend what you deposit.

Before you play, decide how much money and how much time you are willing to spend, and treat that budget the way you would treat the cost of an evening out. If you reach it, stop for the day. Raising your stakes or extending a session to recover a loss is the most common way a budget turns into a problem.

Our games are for adults only. You must be 18 or over to hold an account with us, and you must not let anyone else use it. We hold a gaming licence, and we verify the identity and age of our customers before play and at other points while an account is open.

18+ only

Allowing a person under 18 to gamble is a criminal offence in Great Britain. If we establish that an account holder is under age, we close the account, void any winnings and return the deposits made.

The safer gambling tools in your account

Every tool below is free, built into your account and available whenever you are logged in. You will find them in the responsible gambling area of your account, or you can ask our live chat team to point you to the right page.

What each tool does

ToolWhat it doesWhen the change applies
Deposit limitCaps what you can pay in over a day, a week or a month.Lower limits apply at once; higher limits only after a cooling-off period.
Loss limitCaps your net losses across the period you choose. As above: down at once, up after a delay.
Session limitEnds play once the time you have set is up.From your next session.
Reality checkInterrupts play with a reminder of how long you have been playing. From the moment you set it.
Time-outLocks the account for a short break, chosen in days or weeks. At once, and it cannot be lifted early.
Self-exclusionCloses the account to gambling for a longer fixed period and stops our marketing. At once, for the full period chosen.

How to switch a tool on

  1. Log in and open the responsible gambling section of your account.
  2. Pick the tool you need and the period it should cover: per day, per week or per month.
  3. Enter the amount or the length of break you want, for example a weekly deposit limit of £100, and confirm it.
  4. Check the limits shown in your account whenever you like. Reductions, time-outs and self-exclusion take effect at once, while a request to loosen a limit is held for a cooling-off period and can be cancelled before it applies.

Not sure where to start?

Set a deposit limit first. It is the simplest way to fix what gambling can cost you, because it works before you play rather than during a session.

We also look at how accounts are used, and we may contact you if your play suggests you could be at risk. Where it is the right thing to do, we can apply limits or close an account on our own initiative. If a tool is not behaving as you expect, write to responsiblegaming@casinotropicslots.co.uk and we will put it right.

Signs that gambling may be becoming a problem

Problem gambling develops gradually, and it shows up in habits rather than in any single session. Go through the list below honestly, and treat two or three answers of yes as a reason to use the tools above.

  • You play for longer or spend more than you planned, most times you play.
  • You stake more in order to win back money you have lost.
  • You borrow money, sell belongings or use money set aside for bills so that you can gamble.
  • You hide how much you gamble from your partner, family or friends.
  • Gambling is getting in the way of work, study, sleep or time with people you care about.
  • You feel restless, low or irritable when you try to stop or cut back.
  • You gamble to escape stress, boredom or a low mood rather than for entertainment.
  • You have promised yourself or someone else that you would stop, and carried on anyway.

No single item on this list means you have a gambling problem, and we are not able to give you a diagnosis. If the list feels familiar, a time-out costs you nothing, and the organisations below will talk it through with you in confidence.

Where to get free, confidential help

The services below are not run by us, their help is free, and nothing you tell them is passed back to your account.

  • GambleAware funds and signposts free treatment and support across Great Britain, and publishes plain guidance on how gambling works and where to turn first.
  • GamCare offers free counselling, advice and group support for anyone affected by gambling, including family members, through its network of partner services.
  • GamStop runs the free national online self-exclusion scheme: one registration blocks you from every online gambling site licensed in Great Britain for the fixed period you choose.
  • The National Gambling Helpline gives confidential advice around the clock, by phone or online chat, to gamblers and to the people around them.

Your bank may also let you block gambling payments from your card or account, and free debt advice services can help if gambling has left you owing money. If you would rather we closed your account than limited it, our live chat team or support@casinotropicslots.co.uk can arrange that.

Keeping under-18s away from our games

Children and young people must never have access to gambling. We check the age and identity of everyone who opens an account, and we ask for documents where we need to confirm what you have told us. An account that cannot be verified is suspended until those checks are complete.

You can help by treating your account as personal to you: keep your password and payment details private, log out when you finish, and do not store login details on a device that other people use.

Parental control and content-filtering software can block gambling sites on a shared computer, tablet or phone, and most operating systems and home routers include family settings that do the same across the whole network. These are worth setting up if you share a household with children, even when your own play is well controlled.

If you believe someone under 18 has used your account or has access to it, tell us straight away through live chat or at support@casinotropicslots.co.uk so that we can secure it.
