General rules that apply to all play

These rules apply to every game in our lobby, whether you are playing from your real-money balance or from a bonus balance. Where a game carries its own rules or paytable, those apply to that game in addition to the rules below. If anything on this page conflicts with our terms and conditions, the terms and conditions apply.

  • Play is for people aged 18 or over only. We hold a gaming licence and verify the age, identity and payment details of our account holders, and we may ask you for verification documents at any time.
  • You may hold one account only. Bets must be placed by you, for yourself, from your own account and with funds that belong to you.
  • A bet is final once confirmed. It cannot be cancelled, amended or withdrawn after that point, and a change of mind is not a reason to void a round.
  • Your stake is taken from the balance shown in the cashier at the moment you confirm the bet. If the balance is not sufficient, the bet is not accepted.
  • Minimum and maximum stakes are shown in each game and at each table. We may decline a bet that falls outside those amounts or outside any limits applied to your account.
  • We may suspend a game, or your access to it, where we need to carry out checks or where a technical fault is being looked into.

Where you hold both a real-money balance and a bonus balance, the order in which funds are used is set out in the cashier and in the bonus terms for the offer. Winnings from a round funded by bonus money are credited to the bonus balance and stay subject to the wagering requirement attached to that bonus until it has been met.

Bets are final

Once you confirm a spin or a bet, it stands. Please double-check your stake, your bet lines and the table you have joined before you confirm.

How bets and spins are settled

Every round is generated and recorded on the game server. The result held on that server is the result that counts, even where your screen, device or browser displays something different because of a graphics fault, a cached page or a dropped connection.

  1. You confirm the bet and the stake leaves the balance shown in the cashier.
  2. The server produces the outcome of the round and records it.
  3. Any win is calculated from that game's paytable and the bet level you used.
  4. Your balance updates and the round is closed and logged against your account.

Outcomes in slots and other random games are produced by a random number generator that is tested as part of our licensing obligations. Past results have no effect on future ones, and no bet pattern, stake size or session length changes the odds of a round.

Game rules, paytables and return to player

Each game has a help or information screen that sets out its paytable, bet levels, features and the theoretical return-to-player figure for that game. The return-to-player figure is a long-term average measured across a very large number of rounds. It does not predict the outcome of any single round or session, and it is not a guarantee of what you will get back.

Malfunctions and interrupted rounds

A malfunction voids all pays and all play. If a game, a game feature or our systems do not work as designed, the affected round is void: any stake taken for it is returned to the balance it came from, and any amount credited in error is removed from your account.

  • A result shown on your screen but not recorded on the game server does not stand.
  • Where a paytable, a feature or a set of odds has displayed or paid incorrectly, we correct the affected rounds and adjust the balance accordingly.
  • Where a payment or win has been credited twice, we remove the duplicate.
  • We may take a game offline while a fault is being looked into, and bets placed in the affected period may be void.

If your connection drops

Confirmed bets are not cancelled by closing the game window, logging out or losing your internet connection. When you next open the game, an unfinished round either resumes from the point it was interrupted or is settled on the server, with the outcome applied to your balance. If a round cannot be completed at all, it is void and the stake is returned.

Playing with bonus funds

Bonus funds, free spins and other promotional credits follow the terms of the offer they came from, together with our general terms and these rules.

  • A maximum bet applies for as long as a wagering requirement is outstanding. The amount is stated in the bonus terms and in your account, and rounds placed above it may be void.
  • Game contributions differ. Each game counts towards a wagering requirement at the percentage shown in the bonus terms, and some games do not count at all.
  • Features that let you buy into a bonus round, and betting patterns that cover most or all outcomes at once, may not count towards wagering.
  • Free spin winnings are credited as bonus funds unless the offer says otherwise, and any cap on what can be converted is set out in the offer.
  • Bonus funds expire at the end of the period stated in the offer. Anything left unwagered at that point is removed.

You can give up an active bonus at any time from your account or by asking our support team, which releases your real-money balance from the wagering requirement and removes the remaining bonus funds and anything won with them. Where the bonus terms have not been followed, we may void the affected rounds and any winnings from them, and we will tell you which rounds are involved and why.

Live casino and table games

Live tables are run by a dealer in a studio and streamed to your device. The dealer's actions, supported where needed by the studio's game manager, decide the round, and their decision on the outcome of a hand, spin or deal is final.

  • Each round has a betting window. Bets that are not confirmed before betting closes are not accepted, and the stake stays in your balance.
  • Where a card is dealt in error, a chip is placed incorrectly or a spin is declared invalid, the round or the affected part of it is void under that table's rules and stakes are returned.
  • Table limits, available side bets and seating rules are shown at each table and may change between tables of the same game.
  • If the video feed fails, the round continues on the server where it can be completed and the result is applied to your balance. If it cannot be completed, the round is void.
  • Please keep dealer chat courteous. We may mute or remove a player who is abusive towards a dealer or another player.

The help panel at each table carries the full rules for that game, including how hands are ranked, how payouts are worked out and what happens when a hand or spin cannot be finished.

Queries and disputes about a round

If you think a round has been settled incorrectly, contact us as soon as you can and we will look into it. The more detail you give us, the faster we can match your query to the server record.

  1. The name of the game or table as it appears in the lobby.
  2. The date and time of the round, with the time zone you were in.
  3. The round, game or transaction reference, where the game displays one.
  4. Your stake, what you expected to be paid and what happened instead.

Write to us at support@casinotropicslots.co.uk or use the live chat on the site. We check the round against the server logs and come back to you with the outcome and the reasoning behind it. Those logs are the record we rely on, and where they differ from what appeared on your screen, the logs settle the matter.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, our complaints procedure explains how to take the matter further, including the alternative dispute resolution service that is available to you at no cost.

Staying in control

You can set deposit limits, take a time-out or self-exclude at any time from your account, or ask our support team to arrange it for you. Free, confidential help and advice are available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, and GamStop lets you self-exclude from gambling sites licensed in Great Britain in one step.
